Techno Plastic srl manufacturers of monofilament extrusion machinery.

Located in the heart of Italy’s technology and equipment region, Techno Plastic srl leads the Broom and Brush Industry in offering extrusion lines to produce broom and brush fibres.

The formation of Techno Plastic in 1999 came about due to the demand for a company with the capability to offer ‘turn-key’ operations to broom and brush manufacturers, providing them with, not only equipment but also, ’know how’ for the production of monofilament for their products.
The founding team decided that three basic ingredients were required to satisfy their customers; chemical engineering experience in the specific area of production of broom and brush monofilaments, experience in the production of equipment for the manufacture of brooms and brushes and thirdly experience in knowledge of the uses of the monofilament, thus satisfying the customers’ needs in knowing exactly what he wants.

Techno Plastic offers an all – inclusive service from the engineering and production departments to the special processing, logistics and the parts warehouse. Every product developed is the result of in-depth research and a team of engineers, technicians and designers is responsible for the creation of prototypes and product tests to ensure full customer satisfaction. The production process and all the parts manufactures, whether mechanical or electronic, are the result of our partnerships with the best suppliers and of the cutting-edge technology they employ.

At present Techno Plastic offer 4 complete extrusion lines for the manufacturing of virgin and recycled polyester PET, PBT and PP broom and brush monofilaments, the Fil 50, the Fil 75, Fil 90 and Fil 100. The basic difference between these lines is size of machine and quantity output. Naturally, the price reflects the size and output.

  • The Fil 50 can reach 80 kg per hour of PET monofilaments and 50 kg per hour of Polypropylene .
  • The Fil 75 can reach 150 kg per hour of PET monofilaments and 100kg per hour of polypropylene.
  • The Fil 90, however, can reach 230kg per hour of PET monofilaments and 130 kg per hour of polypropylene.
  • Fil 100 can reach 300kg per hour of PET monofilaments and 150kg per hour of polypropylene, when equipped with the fully automatic winder/wrapper.

All four extrusion lines can produce PET monofilaments from virgin granules as well as suitably treated, washed and recycled PET bottle flakes. As in all three cases the output of PET is greater than that of virgin polypropylene; using recycled material can return the cost of the customers’ outlay within a very short period of time.

Monofilaments produced are flaggable or non- flaggable, level or crimped, with different profiles and diameters from 0.12 up to 1.00mm and more. However, the same line extrudes polypropylene monofilaments, flaggable or non-flaggable, level or crimped, with different profiles and diameters from 0.15 up to 1.5mm and more.

On specific request the Techno Plastic extrusion line can manufacture the heavy gauge monofilaments needed for the manufacture of road sweepers.

Auxiliary machines are available separately.

The crystalliser/drier and raw materials transportations system is necessary and indispensable to treat the recycled, washed PET bottle flakes in order to get their necessary re-crystallising and dehydration, before extrusion.

The Gravimetric/volumetric dosing unit is a system that allows you to dose the recycled flakes and polymers necessary for the composition of the mix directly into the extruder hopper.

The Winder consists of painted tubular steel structure with painted panel, balancer coils for monofilament tension and a sliding cast iron head to enable the centring of the monofilament in the winder groove.

The Wrapper has an electro pneumatic device for tightening the hanks and an adjustable clutch on the reel support. This unit allows the wrapping of the hanks with PE film.

The Bundle Cutter automatically shears the bundle for cutting into lengths of 50mm up to 80mm.

A Fully Automatic Winder/Wrapper forms the monofilaments hanks collecting the fibres from the last group of rollers of the extrusion line by means of two rotating winders alternately working – one full – one empty. Integrated to the Fully Automatic Winder/Wrapper is the Fully Automatic Hank Wrapper complete with a 3 axis mechanical hand allowing the fully automatic winder to unload and poly-wrap the monofilaments hanks.

The continuous cut length unit enables the cutting on line of any pp/pet straight fibre, having diameters ranging from 0.38mm up to 1.5mm. The lengths can be cut from a minimum of 160 mm to a maximum of 420mm. This machine has a cutting unit, a collection system and an electrical control board.
