Customers, guests and trade press were taken courtesy of Borghi directly after Interbrush that was held in Freiburg, Germany to the companies’ new site to attend the opening ceremony of “The Brush District”. Enzo Ferrari, President of Borghi s.p.a, Vanes Villani, President of Unimac s.r.l and Davide Ori, President of Techno Plastic s.r.l thanked everyone for attending and spoke of the strong level of unity and pledge between the companies and community. This commitment helped to build “The Brush District”. Also invited to speak were local and regional dignitaries including Mr Stefano Reggianini, Mayor of Castelfranco Emilia, Mrs Palma Costi, representing the region of Emilia Romagna and Mr Maurizio Torreggiani, President of the Chamber of Commerce for Modena. These officials underlined the importance of companies like Borghi, Unimac and Techno Plastic which, despite the global economic crisis, keep investing in such huge projects. Such endeavors create jobs and prosperity for the people of the region, and at the same time, provide solutions to help customers prosper. Following the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, The Brush District was declared open and visitors were given the opportunity to tour the impressive facility in which a variety of machines could be seen in operation. In Techno Plastic’s plant, visitors saw monofilament extrusion lines running as well as some auxiliary equipment for monofilament production and strapping bands whereas in Unimac’s plant, there were power brush manufacturing machines and handle assembling equipment on display. Following the factory tour, guests were treated to an afternoon off traditional Italian fine cuisine and entertainment which was enjoyed by all.
