The combination also enhances market position as Köbelin specializes in molds for medical and cleanroom applications whereas Zahoransky’s core has been dominated by high cavitation, multi-component molds. Furthermore, Zahoransky has a large international customer network while the Köbelin customers are traditionally more locally concentrated in Europe. The company’s strategy going forward will be to introduce Köbelin’s medical molding innovations globally through its vast international sales network.

Another area in which Zahoransky will enhance the Köbelin core business is through its Systems Technology Group. Zahoransky Systems Technology is well known for its ability to automate complete production processes from injection molding to assembly & testing to final packaging and cartoning. Zahoransky-Köbelin will now enhance and expand its market position in the medical industry by providing Zahoransky’s “Pellet to Pallet” turn-key production line services. Zahoransky Systems Technology’s vast experience with medical and cleanroom applications is a perfect compliment to Köbelin’s core injection mold business.
