KULLEN-KOTI will be exhibiting at the International Hardware Fair in Cologne for the first time with a new logo

Under a new company logo, Kullen-Koti will be offering visitors an in-depth insight into its current product portfolio at the International Hardware Fair 2016. Featuring at the stand will be two types of rotary wire brushes developed specifically for machining metallic surfaces: the cast delta brush and the Alphahon brush with a filling whose bristle tips are fitted with abrasive globules for the perfect honing of internal surfaces. Kullen-Koti will be exhibiting at stand B021 at the Hardware Fair in Cologne in Hall 10.2.

Kullen-Koti will be presenting two high-grade rotary wire brushes designed for the effective but at the same time gentle-action machining of metallic surfaces at the International Hardware Fair 2016 (6-8 March, 2016): One of these is the Delta brush for cleaning welded seams and removing layers of scale, and the other is the Alphahon brush, which provides the ideal solution for optimizing the surfaces of cylinder and piston running surfaces. The renowned brush manufacturer for the retail market will be showcasing these and a wide range of other rotary wire brushes under a brand new banner in Cologne.

Gentle-action cross grinding of internal surfaces

What sets Kullen-Koti’s twisted Alphahon brush apart is its unusual filling, the tips of which are formed by globules made of bonded abrasives. The dimension of the globules, their grain size and the bristle length can be ideally adjusted to the concrete application in each case. Depending on the configuration, the Alphahon brush is suitable for finishing surfaces in steel, grey cast iron, aluminium and all types of non-ferrous metals. Its particular benefit lies in the deburring and rounding of edges, grooves, flutes, bore exits and internal surfaces. The brush is self-centering and ideally adapts itself to out-of-round boreholes, while its flexible filling featuring globules made of silicon carbide produces a neat surface finish devoid of metal fragments, burr, edges or metal residues. The Alphahon brush from Kullen-Koti uses a gentle cross grinding action to machine surfaces, producing a fine structure which helps improve the subsequent adhesion of lubricant films. All of these benefits have made this honing brush highly popular in the automotive industry, for hydraulic and pneumatic applications, in the aerospace industry and also for defence technology.  Kullen-Koti offers the Alphahon brush in nine different grain sizes (60 to 800) in diameters from 4.5 millimetres upwards.

Tamed hardness

The second product example taken from Kullen-Koti’s wide rotary wire brush portfolio at the Hardware Fair 2016 will be a selection from its Delta series. The special feature of this product is the steel wire filling which – apart from a minimal projection – is almost completely embedded in an elastic plastic substrate. Using this design, Kullen-Koti has been able to create a rotary wire brush capable of removing materials such as scale or tough surface masses thoroughly and aggressively without damaging the metal surface below. Offered in a wide range of diameters and designs, this makes the Delta brushes an ideal tool for machining welded seams and removing adhesive, insulating materials or seal residues in production, in workshops, on building sites or when performing repairs. Because it is embedded in a flexible plastic compound, the filling made of spring tempered steel wire wears only very slowly and achieves a long service life.

Full range and new site

With its extensive standard range, Kullen-Koti offers the retail market an attractive selection of rotary wire brushes. Appealingly packaged in display boxes which can also be individually adapted, the company presents its customers with a varied range, both for industrial trade and the DIY market. Over the coming months, Kullen-Koti will be exhibiting its rotary wire brush range not only at the International Hardware Fair in Cologne but subsequently also at the Grindtec 2016 in Augsburg (Hall 4 / Stand 4009) and at the Tube 2016 in Düsseldorf (Hall 6 / Stand F49). This will offer metalworkers and surface processing technicians from across a wide variety of sectors plenty of opportunity to become acquainted with the company’s current portfolio – as well as its new company logo. Anyone unable to make any of these trade fairs will have the chance to gain a complete overview of the manufacturer’s brush range when Kullen-Koti launches its new website in March. And there’s more: Users and interested parties visiting www.kullen.de will also find plenty of useful background information on production technologies and brush applications. There will also be a product configurator available which will enable visitors to put together their own individual brush solution.
