Christmasworld 2017 Sets New Record with More than 1,000 Exhibitors from 42 Countries

Shortly after the festivities, the international trade places its orders for the next Christmas and festive season at Christmasworld in Frankfurt am Main. This year, over 1,000 exhibitors 42 countries offer an unrivalled range of innovations and new products from the world of Christmas and seasonal decorations – for everything from private households to shopping centres, city centres and hotels – in six exhibition halls from 27 to 31 January. For many years, the concept of Christmasworld with its specific focus on Christmas and festive decorations has proved to be a reliable business platform for manufacturers, retailers and commercial buyers. “In 2017, we have set a new exhibitor record and will be showing new ideas and presentations designed to promote sales in stores and shops. Thus, we are paving the way for happy new business in the new year”, says Christmasworld Director Eva Olbrich. Already signed up for the next international trade fair for seasonal and festive decoration are, for example, Edelman, Exotica Cor Mulder, DPI, Pusteblume, Gilde-Handwerk Macrander, Gnosjö Konstsmide, Inge's Christmas Decor and MK Illumination.

In Hall 8.0, you will be able to find products for Florists' Requisites and Garden Decoration, Candles and Fragrances as well as Ribbons and Wrapping. Hall 9.0 is also home to Florists' Requisites and Garden Decoration, together with Seasonal Decoration. Hall 9.1 presents Seasonal Decoration & Gifts, as well as Christmas & Advent. Asian Christmas & Decoration is to be found in Hall 9.2.
Hall 11.0 will provide a resplendent display for Christmas & Advent, together with Visual Merchandising & Lighting. In Hall 11.1 there is the rather special launch of 'Floradecora', a new product segment for fresh flowers and decorative plants.

The new Floradecora (27 to 30 January 2017) offers buyers at Christmasworld fresh flowers, plants and flower arrangements to supplement their ranges of festive and seasonal decoration. “With it, we are seeking to provide for fresh sales in the decorations sector – be it with fresh goods as the core business or as a supplementary range,” explains Olbrich. The innovative trade-fair concept, organised with the intention of making the products immediately available, is being launched with a unique arrangement of the display areas and aims to cater for new exhibitors such as flower and plant growers and producers, wholesale florists, importers / exporters, sales cooperatives and associations, suppliers of ceramics and floristry requisites. The 60-plus companies taking part include Barendsen, Dümmen Orange, FleuraMetz, Goedegebuure Natural Decorations, Lisianthus, PT-Creations, Royal Flora Holland, Smithers-Oasis and Your Lily.

Supply meets demand

At the last edition of the fair, 953 exhibitors from 45 countries presented their latest products to 39,398 buyers from 115 countries [1] under the motto ‘Seasonal Decoration at its best’. Every year the up-coming trends and new products in the relevant fields are presented in Frankfurt am Main, from harmonious Advent and Christmas decorations, to seasonal interior and exterior decorations for a variety of festivals and occasions throughout the year, including some impressive shop-window decorations and large-scale decorative schemes for town centres, shopping centres and hotels. Amongst the trade visitors to the show are buyers from a range of wholesale and retail companies, including, for example, garden centres, building suppliers and DIY stores, florists, furniture and furnishing companies, gift shops, glass, porcelain and ceramics retailers, household goods and toiletries stores, perfume shops, food stores, as well as buyers for shopping centres and for municipal and local authorities, restaurateurs, hotels, event agencies, shop-window designers, interior furnishings experts, designers and decorators.

A quartet of trade fairs with added value

Valuable synergies for buyers at Christmasworld and Floradecora are offered at the concurrently held trade fairs, Paperworld, international trade fair for paper, stationery, office supplies and writing materials, and Creativeworld, international trade fair for creative crafts, hobbies and artists' supplies (28 to 31 January 2017). Topics such as decoration, writing and handicrafts are becoming more closely associated with one another, both at the wholesale and retail level and, when all is said and done, for the end consumer. The new foursome of fairs, all held at the same time, brings with it additional stimulus for business and for making contacts; opportunities for sensibly extending the range of goods one carries, for instance. The four consumer-goods fairs held at the same venue and at the same time, early on, at the start of the business season, thus offer a range of new and familiar products, services and trends that is without equal anywhere in the world. Merely visiting a trade fair guarantees added value, with the broad and innovative range on offer from the exhibitors as well as the inspirational complementary programme, which illuminates the whole range of trends and topics of the future. It makes a trip to Frankfurt well worth it, several times over.
