Another Year of Growth for Totally DIY and Totally Tools

Following a successful two days at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, show organisers (Brintex) can confirm over 1,200 visitors attended the newly formatted Totally DIY & Totally Tools 2016 exhibition, enjoying thousands of products across the two open days.
For the third year in succession the number of exhibiting companies grew, with over 125 exhibitors (up from 102 in 2014 and 111 in 2015) taking part, which included over 50 suppliers doing business at the show for the very first time alongside the biggest brands from across the DIY, hardware and tool sectors.
BROADFIX manager Richard Jenner comments: “Although it is the first time that BROADFIX has exhibited at Totally DIY Totally Tools, we’ve been really impressed with the quality of leads that we have generated”.
Buddy Tools owner Louise Martin comments “Over the two day show we received an amazing response for our product.  The exhibition was a great success for us and we very much look forward to exhibiting in 2017.
Show director Bill Butler comments “We're delighted that for the third year in a row we've managed to grow the number of exhibitors, and as such increase the number of products we can display and expand the event proposition for the visitor. Many of the exhibitors I spoke to commented on the impressive quality of the visitors, and the energised atmosphere that the shorter format brought to the exhibition floor.”
A key feature at the show was the popular ‘New Product Showcase’ area, which displayed about 150 of the latest products and new technology hitting the market in 2016. The winner of the coveted ‘Best New Product’ was ‘Peel Then Stick’, a product which adds adhesive to sheets of A4 paper that can be applied directly to walls for tiling. Judges referenced the ease of use and simplicity for a consumer product as well as the marketing campaign.
Buyers were out in force at this year’s show, with teams from, among others, B&Q, Wickes, Screwfix, Stax, Selco, Tesco, Amazon and Homebase attending. The independent retail sector was also well represented with store managers and buyers visiting from right across the UK.
“The reason we attend Totally DIY Totally Tools is because there are always new innovative products for the DIY customer. Plus the event allows us buyers to come together and collectively talk about what products we’ve seen making the entire visit more beneficial,” commented a senior buyer at B&Q.
Next year Totally DIY & Totally Tools will take place on Tuesday, February 14th and Wednesday, February 15th at the Ricoh Arena.
