Grooved anchor wires ensure the safe anchorage of toothbrush filaments. The process is as efficient as it is simple: the grooved anchor wire is filled together with the toothbrush filaments into the preformed bundle holes of the toothbrushes. After the filling procedure, the plastic relaxes again and holds the anchor wires firmly in place together with the filaments. The original double-sided safety grooving developed by bedra® becomes anchored even more firmly in the head of the brush, ensuring that the bristles are held as tightly as possible.

All anchor wires made by Berkenhoff are melted, cast and drawn exclusively from virgin metals and profiled in accordance with customer requirements. The one-hundred per cent in-house production ensures the perfect quality for this sensitive sector. 

At Interbrush 2016, Berkenhoff is presenting an improved production process for all anchor wires made by the company. In this process, only materials which are harmless to health and registered in accordance with the strict international standard of NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation) are used for the production of the wires. This forward-looking anchor wire production process, which goes beyond the legal requirements, therefore offers the consumer additional safety with respect to toothbrushes.
