Smiling faces and sunny spring days for ISSA/INTERCLEAN

The 2016 edition of ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam has concluded four busy days marked by high temperatures and many happy people. Visitors came from across the globe to see new technologies and find out what is new and upcoming in the industry. The robot arena and information-packed seminars at the InnovationLAB were two features not to be missed at the event, taking place at RAI Amsterdam. At the Innovation Award Ceremony on the first day, Sealed Air Diversey Care was crowned overall winner of the eleventh Amsterdam Innovation Award with their product Augmented Reality: Suma Revoflow.

The sunny weather made the Outdoor Demo Show more popular than ever. Once inside, the visitor enjoyed countless activities on exhibitor stands: a breakdance performance, caricature cartoonist, a Marilyn Monroe stand-in and even a virtual reality demonstration boosting the experience. More visitors spent three days at the show floor, resulting in a vibrant exhibition and the busiest days ever.

Now the work starts for ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2018, we look forward to it!”

More international

Over four days a total of 30,289 professionals from 134 countries visited the show. The international share of attendees also keeps growing. This time 76% of the visitors came from outside the Netherlands. The largest growth came from Oceania, Western Africa and Southeast Asia.

Amsterdam Innovation Award

Innovations have always been reason number one for visitors to come to the show, the Amsterdam Innovation Award together with the InnovationLAB puts the innovations in an even brighter spotlight.

The Augmented Reality: Suma Revoflow from Sealed Air Diversey Care was announced as winner of the Amsterdam Innovation Award 2016. Other category winners are: Robot RA 660 NAVI from Cleanfix and the Quick & Easy System from Werner & Mertz Professional. The BRC 40/22 C from Kärcherwon the Visitor’s Choice Award.

The Amsterdam Innovation Award handed a donation of Euro 16,500 to the African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) Flying Doctors, and their project in Kilindi, Tanzania, providing accessible water and sanitary facilities for the community.
