Marco Kracht Review of Interbrush 2016

Interbrush 2016 was the third time, in a row, that the company Marco Kracht was showing his product at the Interbrush exibition.

This year, I had two new products to show:

A new harder and improved version of the flagging knife developed for working PET and other hard filaments that combines a hardness over 59 HRC Rockwell points to the elasticity and flexibility of the standard knife, that has a hardness of 56 HRC Rockwell points, so, the knife will last longer in working PET and other hard filaments, but, on the other side it is very difficult to break as the standard knife.
A new coating for the blades used for cutting the metal pipes for broom handles that improves the working life of the blade, because, with a hardness of 3400-3800 HV Vickers, the slide of the blade, between the two vices is very smooth and makes it very difficult for metal parts to glue to the sides of the blade and cause seizures that shorten its life.

During its 50 years of working history, the company has both produced and re-sharpened what I am calling the standard shape, single point and one or two round holes, flagging knife mainly used by the Italian manufacturers of the machine and also two different shapes of flagging knife, one with two points and a square mm. 20 hole mainly used on Boucherie machine and one with two points and a star hole mainly used by Zahoransky machine.

Since before the exhibition, the company received an order and an inquiry for both types of the previous mentioned blades, I decided to bring a couple of samples of them at the Interbrush for showing that the company can also make this two types of blades.

More or less as during the previous edition, I practically always had visitors. Sometimes they had either to wait in line or come back another time when I was free.

The main interest for my visitors was the new harder version of the flagging knife for working PET and other hard filaments, but, few of them were also very interested in the flagging knives with the two points.
In my opinion, to attend to the Interbrush as exhibitor is always both an interesting and a positive thing. In fact, it is a good occasion for meeting and speaking with new customers as well as for meeting and speaking with old customers from countries very far from Italy.
