A Message from MGG President, Gianfranco Marcon

On entering the roller market, joining the ABMA and developing the company vision

Global urbanization, modernization and increased mobility have had an especially strong influence on the growth of paintbrush technology over the years. Many things have changed; just think of the passage from natural bristle to synthetic bristle today used by most brush manufacturers in the world. Today Chinese bristle has lost those characteristics of quality and classification that had characterized until the 80’s and, in addition, it is increasingly decreasing also in quantity, so much as to predict its substantial disappearance in the next years, at least for our paint brush market.

Entering the roller market

Once again, MGG has a response to these specific market requirements, designing machines able to work both products, giving its customers the possibility to choose according to the market trend. MGG as a company focuses on innovation and, for this reason, we invest 8% every year in research and development to be always one step ahead of others. This has allowed us to create a range of products that could satisfy any customer’s request, not only in the field of paintbrushes but also rollers.

The roller market is in continuous expansion, having seen an increase of 36% in export and 12% in import. Embarking on a new challenge is always something uncertain, but at MGG we consider this to be standard practice. Obviously, an important strategy for any company is investing and expanding in new ideas and technologies, therefore the same philosophy was adopted recently with the creation of a new machine able to stamp the handles of the rollers; technology not yet present in the market. This is thanks to a request made by our important client who has demonstrated total confidence in the success of the project.

I take this opportunity to thank all our customers who, with their experience and knowledge of products over the years, have allowed us to innovate, giving us strong inputs. Today, we are living in an extremely competitive world that is slowly changing the dynamics. We at MGG want to be part of this important change and we believe that to stay on top of it, an understanding of market’s trend is imperative, as is offering products to go beyond the expectations of end users, large or small, and meeting this challenge is motivating.

Company vision

Extraordinary events and future developments forced us to develop the company “vision”. This new vision is set to guarantee "barrier-free" customer service.

Choosing MGG means choosing the security of having assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Aware of the importance of the after sales service, MGG is the first company in the sector to have developed the service on site 24h which will enable service & training activities to be carried out in complete autonomy without any barrier thanks to the use of our APP installed on your devices (smartphone-tablet).

Initially born from necessity, this vision will be continued and shared with Mr. Loris Maestrutti, our new CEO and shareholder. Mr. Loris Maestrutti comes from a long history of company management at an international level, first in Danieli & C. SpA, a company supplying steel plants with EPC formula, and subsequently in charge of several technological and production companies of Camozzi SpA. I am deeply convinced that his important experience will help MGG to achieve our targets.

ABMA Membership

We are pleased to announce that MGG has joined ABMA, the American Brush Manufacturers Association. As of May 2021, MGG is now in fact a member of the large US industry association, a fundamental step to directly preside over the important North American market.

"Our international strategy sees the NAFTA countries (USA, Canada and Mexico) as a top priority. Being associated with ABMA is an honour; our commitment for the next few years is to serve North America with a direct logistical, commercial and technical assistance presence throughout the territory", comments our managing director Loris Maestrutti. "For a demanding market that demands top-of-the-line technology for automated brush and roller production, MGG is ready to develop the most customised solutions for the needs of manufacturers of all types of tools for the construction, marine and wood industries."

The goal for the next few years is to develop an on-site MGG Hub in NAFTA countries to provide 24H On-Site Service, rapid spare parts storage and an in-country sales and technical network for all brush and roller manufacturers in the US, Canada and Mexico.
