The 2018 China Brush and Cleaning Tools Industry Development Forum was held in Yangzhou meeting center from 25 to 27 September 2018. Around 140 enterprises from national manufacturers of toothbrushes, paintbrushes, cosmetic brushes, industrial brushes and cleaning tools attended this conference. This forum was held with the help of Perfect Group Co Ltd, Guangdong Yongrui Industry Co Ltd and Yangzhou Haixing Brush Machine Co Ltd along with support from Shenzhen Tiandikang Industry Co Ltd and Ningbo Ravo Group. This is the second forum of its kind following the Ningbo Forum last year.  Meanwhile, the FEIBP was holding it 60th Congress in Bordeaux, France - a wonderful coincidence.

This forum took the theme of “Review, Expect & Reconstruct Industry Values”; we talked about industry developments, industry partnerships, trade differences between China and America, cross border e-commerce, raising capital and technology.

On 26th September, the industry forum started in Baichang Hall in Yangzhou meeting center. The whole forum was managed by Chenfeng, the Secretary General of the Brush and Cleaning Tools Branch. 

Chenbin, Yangzhou Ecological Science and Technology New Town Party Work Committee member, Deputy Director of the management committee, made an opening speech, sharing his wish for a successful forum.

Chenfeng presented his “China and cleaning tools industry development report”, in which he analyzed the current market situation and its profitability. In addition, he made a detailed report of the toothbrush, paintbrush, bristle, cosmetic brush, cleaning tools and industrial brush sectors. Finally, he made a summary of the character, situation and developing trends of this industry – well worth attending!

 Xiao Zhuoling, Deputy Director General of China Sundry Articles Industry Association, discussed the profiles of the China Light Industry Federation’s top ten enterprises. 

Yanmin, Director of Macroeconomic Department of Economic Prediction, National Information Center, gave a speech concerning the international economic situation, analyzing the influence of trade differences in making business between China and America and its resulting impact on manufacturers.

Ligang, Doctor of The Fourth Military Medical University, made a wonderful speech of “the historical and future development of Chinese oral care products”, making a detailed explanation of it.

Wang Mingsong, Global Technology Director of Monofilament Business of Dupont (China) R&D Management Co Ltd, gave an update on synthetic bristle technology for the second year in a row. This year’s seminar focused on the bend-recovery rate of nylon toothbrushes, toothbrush and paintbrush fibres, which was very informative and well-received. 

Wang Mingjun, from the general office of Ningbo Ravo Industry Group Co Ltd delivered an introduction to the situation of his company and gave a detailed explanation of the necessity of hair brush standards.

Bian Hailong, the general manager of Shanghai International Brush Industry Show gave an update on the situation of this year’s CIBRUSH Show and the expectations for its development.

Zhang Wensheng’s company listed A-shares in March. This forum shared a speech about “Coming to capital market and helping enterprise develop” and talked about the process of listing.

Wang Tiefan, the Manager of Amazon Company, shared an introduction to using cross-border e-commerce and overseas hot-category brush products, and helped participants learn how to conduct cross-border e-commerce.

  

After this meeting, the group attended a special business dinner for delegates which included cold dishes, steak, seafood, red wine, champagne and cocktails. 

The Toothbrush Branch and the Brush and Cleaning Tools Branch annual meetings were held in the morning, managed by Chenfeng. First, Wang Baoqin, the General Secretary of the Toothbrush Branch gave a summary of its work and made a report about the next phase of its work plan.

Chenfeng made a summary of the establishment of the branch, the evaluation of the “Top Ten” companies and the increase in export tax, as well as delivering the group report, especially the establishment of branch secretary, improving staff levels and making an effort to improving industry developments.  

To conclude, Yang Xijing, the General Director of China Brush and Cleaning Tools Association made a speech in which he affirmed the work of the Toothbrush Branch and the Brush and Cleaning Tools Branch. He also agreed their next plan, encouraging hard work to better serve member enterprises.

The Committee organized for representatives to go by bus to Hangji Town, the hometown of Chinese toothbrushes. Here they visited the Chinese Toothbrush Museum, Yangzhou Haochen Brush Machinery Co Ltd, Jiangsu Aikesa Robot Co Ltd and Perfect Group Co Ltd. Guests saw the culture of Hangji toothbrush manufacturing, the national development of advanced toothbrush bristle implantation equipment, toothbrush automation, and a great workshop for toothbrush manufacturing. Representatives saw the great achievements of Hangji’s toothbrush district in the two hours. They gave sincere praise for the fact that there are so many great factories in Hangji, making it worthy of the name “the home town of Chinese toothbrushes”. Our Committee also thanked the Hangji people’s government and the Jiangsu Toothbrush Industry Association for their commitment to arranging such a great reception of the four units.
