CleanNZ Announces Education Program

CleanNZ Expo is the largest dedicated trade event for New Zealand’s commercial cleaning industry. The education programme for this year’s CleanNZ Expo has been released. The event will take place at Ellerslie Racecourse on Wednesday 15 September and Thursday, 16 September. The education sessions will be held across both days.

Sarah McBride, CEO of the Building Service Contractors Association of New Zealand (BSCNZ), said the education sessions will focus on employment law, health and safety, industry best practice, and mental health. “We have a wide variety of relevant industry topics being covered, but also topics which are relevant to the wider business community.”

Event speakers include:
  • Callum McMillian, Labour Inspectorate Regional Manager, MBIE
  • Paul Pritchard, Training Manager, Cleaning Systems LTD
  • Paul McBride, Partner, Mcbride Davenport James
  • Andre Reynolds, Founder, Grow At
  • Nicky Murray, Research Lead, ServiceIQ
  • Adele McLean, Manager Strategy and Government Relations, ServiceIQ
  • Wendy Stephens, Project & Audit Manager, Sappho Creative Solutions
  • Caroline Wilson,CEO, A-OK.NZ
  • Julie-Ann Mail, Engagement Lead, WorkSafe New Zealand
“The key driver for bringing this group of speakers together was to educate, update, and inspire attendees,” said McBride.
“BSCNZ members are always striving to ensure they are compliant, but also offering their customers the best possible service. Our program is designed and planned to offer attendees a wide variety of topics which will assist them in their journey to achieve this.

“The goal is that after each person has attended one of the educational sessions, they will walk out knowing more than when they walked in!  To build upon their existing knowledge and ask experts those nagging questions they need answers to,” said McBride.

Clean NZ will conclude with the BSCNZ’s CleanSweep Awards. The CleanSweep Awards recognise and celebrate the excellence, dedication, skills and work of members and their service teams in the commercial cleaning industry. Award winners will be announced at a black-tie event at the Ellerslie Events Centre on Thursday, 16 September, following the conclusion of CleanNZ.
The CleanSweep Awards will be hosted by radio and TV personality, Kerre McIvor.
