The Duo Brush from Paintpecker is a professional brush with an integrated fitch brush inside. Nomintated for this year's FEIBP (European Brushware Federation) Innovation Award, the Duo Brush is a practical invention created by professional decorators for professional decorators.If during the painting job you need your fitch brush, you simply slide it out of the brush by pushing the button on the handle upwards. When you do not need the fitch anymore, you push the button downwards. You always have to push the fitch brush completely out of the brush or completely into the brush!
The round Duo Brush is perfect for cutting in on door frames or window frames. And with the integrated fitch brush you easily paint along glass, in narrow areas, around hinges, rubbers and other obstacles.
The Duo Brush is available in two varieties: One for solvent based paints and one for water-based paints. Both in size no. 16 (Ø30 mm).
How to clean the brush
The Duo Brush and integrated fitch brush are easy to use and to clean.
To prevent the fitch brush from getting stuck in the brush you need to clean both brushes at the end of the day or when the job is done!Before taking the fitch brush out of the round brush, clean both brushes thoroughly. Remove the coloured tip at the end of the handle. Take out the fitch brush and clean it further if necessary. Place the brush and fitch separately into an airtight plastic bag or cover them with clingfilm. Just before you start the new painting job reassemble the fitch brush into the round brush. While installing the fitch brush turn the fitch brush in order to prevent the filaments from bending. If the fitch brush does not slide smoothly you can put some Vaseline or similar on the ferrule of the fitch brush.
The Duo Brush for water-based paints has light grey synthetic filaments and a light grey tip at the back of the handle. The Duo Brush for solvent-based paints has dark grey synthetic filaments and a dark grey tip at the back of the handle. Both brushes and both fitch brushes are made with top quality synthetic filaments for a superior result, smooth finish and a perfect thickness of paint.
