What information is being collected?

We only ask for and collect personal data that we need to provide and improve the service, products and experiences our customers expect.

In addition, we require you to provide the name of the business you represent and details of the goods and/or services your business offers. Our website it not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

How we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To publish your business listing in our online Brush Directory and provide you with the products and services you have requested 
To publish your advertisements in our website
To publish the press releases that you send to us in our News pages
To send you our e-newsletters, requests for contributions to our News pages and Newsletter, to tell you about important changes and other items we feel would be of interest to you
To respond to enquiries, complaints and disputes

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.brushexpertcom we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. Newsletter Sign Up

As part of the registration process for our regular e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent, share or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Montpellier Integrated, to deliver some of our mailings including our Newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. All emails sent by us will be clearly marked as originating from us. All such emails will also include clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from our email service and any future emails.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Alice Castle.

Who will it be shared with?

In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of renting, sharing or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing or any other purposes. We pledge to handle your data fairly and legally at all times and in the manner you would expect.

We are committed to protecting your personal information. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption, to protect your personal information and privacy, and review those regularly. We do not have access to your passwords which are encrypted and held securely.

Links to Other Web Sites

One of the many ways we help our customers to promote their products is through online banner advertising. We also share links to the websites of our subscribers and advertisers in the Brush Directory, as well as in the articles/press releases we publish in our online News pages and Newsletter. This privacy notice does not cover the links within this site linking to other websites. Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s privacy statement.

Access to your personal information and your rights

You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold at any time. You can contact us (see below) and we will provide you with your personal data via e-mail.

You have the right to access, update and amend your personal data. For data shown in your Brush Directory company page, you can Log In to your online account at any time using your Username and the password chosen by you. If you have forgotten your password, you can follow the simple reset instructions to create a new one. Otherwise, you can contact us to make the changes on your behalf.

You have the right to erase any personal data processed by Brush Expert Ltd. We will only make exceptions to this where you have an open order, an unresolved customer services issue, an unsettled debt or where the law requires us to retain your information.

You have the right to object to processing of your personal data that is based on Brush Expert Ltd’s legitimate interest. We will not continue to process the personal data unless we can demonstrate legitimate grounds for the process which overrides your interest and rights or due to legal claims.

Where do we store your data?

The data that we collect from you is stored within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside of the EEA. Any such transfer of your personal data will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws.

For transfers outside the EEA, Brush Expert Ltd will use Standard Contractual Clauses and Shields as safeguards for countries without adequacy decisions from the European Commission.
