NEWVILLE, Marillyn Alice (formerly Cramblet) passed away on May 29, 2020. She was married to Duane Newville, the love of her life, for 68 1/2 years. She leaves behind her husband Duane; daughter Denise; sons, Wayne, Kurt, Eric; and a granddaughter Nicole. She resided in Town Shores of Gulfport and Feather Sound community in Clearwater, Florida.

Marillyn was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 5, 1931 to Marion Kesler Cramblet and Mina DeHorn Cramblet. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1949 where she and Duane were high school sweethearts. She graduated from Muskegon Junior College and then attended Hope College in Holland Michigan majoring in elementary education. Marillyn and Duane were married October 20, 1951 at Calvary Baptist Chu rch in Gulfport, Florida. Duane was in the USAF with a 22-year career with assignments in Germany, England, Texas and Alabama where three of their children were born in Europe. While in Europe with their children, they traveled to many different countries, and continued to travel in Europe, the states and the Caribbean after Duane left the military. The family moved to Florida in 1968.

When her husband started a second career as a sales representative, he saw a need for a product for the RV and Mobile Home markets. He soon got a patent on his product, and Duane, Marillyn and son Eric were instrumental in getting the company called Adjust-A-Brush started in the garage. The family-owned company now operates out of a building in Clearwater. Marillyn was also the one who came up with the company name Adjust-A-Brush, and handled the books for the business for years, until her health issues started affecting her.

Marillyn loved sewing, embroidery, reading, playing the piano, and her family. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking shows. She enjoyed playing Tripoly and other card games with friends and family. She was a substitute teacher while in Texas. She started selling World Book Encyclopedia while in Germany and continued in Florida. She was a member of St. Johns Historical Society in Virgin Islands, the Protestant Women’s Club in Germany and involved with Bethany Reform Church in Gulfport.

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, June 6, at 3 p.m. at Feather Sound Community Church, 13880 Feather Sound Drive, in Clearwater, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Marillyn to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, TX or Feather Sound Community Church.
