Established in 1954 by Avni Kalkan, Kalkan Brush & Industrial Products Co Ltd (Kalkan Brush) of Istanbul, Turkey, has over 60 years experience in the production of industrial and technical brushes for use in the glass, stainless steel, textiles, natural stone, food, miliatary and packing industries amongst others. Two if its principal products are:- Roller brushes: Used mainly for cleaning and abrasion. Available in stapled and coiled spiral types. Applications include cleaning, polishing, deburring, finishing etc of glass, textiles, wood, stainless steel and others.
- Strip Brushes: Used for many purposes and in many possible forms due to their linear nature and flexibility. Available in a variety of sizes. In 4 months, Kalkan Brush’ new, double-band strip machine will be installed! Applications include isolating, sealing, shielding etc. Useful in CNC machines of all kinds.
Kalkan Brush uses all kinds of filling materials of the finest quality in its brushes - synthetics, abrasive filaments, natural fibres and animal hair – carefully selected to match the intended purpose. Brush production required advanced technology and Kalkan Brush & Industrial Products Co Ltd has at its disposal 4 European CNC tufting machines, 2 strip machines plus the new double-band machine soon to be in operation. It also has 3 milling machines, presses, moulds and special tools for the production of custom-made brushes.
