Tai Hing Nylon Materials Report: PA66 & PBT Prices Rise and Limited Purchases Of Upstream Supplies

PA66 raw materials, as previously reported, continued to rise by more than 30% at the end of November 2020. Due to the lack of upstream raw materials and price increases, most manufacturers with limited PA66 even suspended placing orders. The price rise is expected to last until May 2021 and could repeat 2018 price gains or more.
The release of the PA66 continues to limit supplies at the end of December and PA66 prices are expected to rise. The notice of force majeure around the Spring Festival from the upstream manufacturers continues the increase. Compared with early February, the current increase of 20% in March, the price of PA66 exceeded the highest price in 2018. According to the current trend of development, the subsequent cost of PA66 will continue to rise.

PA66 and PBT vendors are currently on a tight schedule and expect to remain on a tight schedule over the next three months. Limited purchasing will be implemented to ensure not to affect customer's production plan. Tai Hing sincerely recommends all clients to place and arrange the order of PA66 and PBT in advance. Please kindly contact our Sales Team at the earliest convenience.
