Ladies First was India’s first all women street art festival. Organized in Marol, Andheri East from 25-31 March 2019, the festival saw 7 of the top female artists transform walls in Marol into works of art. Helping them weave their magic were the organizers Wicked Broz, an arts organization that primarily works on street art projects and Military Road Residents Welfare Association (MRRWA).

We want to lead the way for brush manufacturers to really care for their core audience – the artists and the painters who spend countless hours using the products. Suspended from lifts on exterior walls in the heat or spending time in back breaking positions on ceilings inside houses.

It is our opinion that women in India have been highlighted as the weaker sex for way too long. An activity like this which inspires them to take to the streets is a win for all of us. We only wish to do more on this front.

Our brush filament business is something which is growing each quarter and festivals like this help push our name out to new audiences. Ladies First saw more than half a million organic impressions with mentions in major media outlets like BBC News, The Hindu and The Hindustan Times. We are not even counting the innumerable eye balls gathered on ground with our logo presence next the murals.

Ladies First presented us a unique opportunity to lend support through our funds and by donating some brushes to the cause of street art and women empowerment.
