The company HATHO GmbH, manufacturer of rotating polishing instruments for the dental and jewelry industry, as well as for the industrial and DIY sector is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In December 1968 HATHO was founded by Mr. HAns THOma. The company exists for 50 years. First-class products and services, as well as the willingness to adapt to market requirements and innovation contribute to the success of HATHO over the past 50 years.

The managing director Dr. Ralf Steiner who joined the company in 1991, continues these core values to this day. In the year 2003 a new production facility was built in the Gewerbepark Breisgau industrial estate in Eschbach, approximately 30km south of Freiburg. This allowed HATHO to expand and optimize the production processes for further growth. It has always been a priority for HATHO to have a close working relationship with the end user and because of this it is possible to develop multiple new products while also improving existing products.

Trade partners and end users such as dentists, dental technicians, gold and silversmiths, industrial users, modelers and DIY enthusiasts in more than fifty countries worldwide appreciate the variety of products, the high quality of workmanship and the innovative solutions HATHO provides.

Many natural materials such as bristles, animal hair, leather or cotton are used in the manufacture of polishing instruments. However, wires and synthetic fibers can be used additionally. Since the first day HATHO is producing the products with machinery which has been developed and installed together with partner companies.

But good machines and sophisticated technologies are just one part of the HATHO philosophy: the employees make the success of HATHO. Competent and motivated collaborators are the guarantee that only first quality work leaves the HATHO´s production facility!

The future of HATHO´s general management is set. Since several months Dr. Steiner´s son-in-law, Mr. Sean Kenny, is already active. As mechanical engineer, he has started in production as direct assistance of the production manager. Step by step Sean Kenny will go through all departments to gain experience for his future task in HATHO´s general management.
