Sizeable Renewable Energy Investment at Brushtec
NEW Solar panel system to stabilise energy costs and reduce carbon footprint

Having bought the most up to date and advanced solar panels available, the system will provide an estimated reduction of 129,000kg of CO2 a year, which is equivalent to planting 7100 trees.
This large reduction in CO2 output is also coupled with other energy saving measures and investments which we have applied over the years, such as quick closing roller doors, an extensive cladding refit, and more efficient heating systems. These investments have been applied wherever possible, helping us to reduce our energy usage and long-term costs.
Our injection moulding division – through which all our municipal brush backs are manufactured – remains a very energy intensive area, and it is for this that our solar panel system will be the greatest benefit.
As raw material prices and the energy sector fluctuate, face shocks, and shortages, we are hopeful that our solar panel system will allow us to provide some stability and control to the cost of our moulding operation.
