Twisted Knot Machine Family


Twist-Knot Power Brushes are used in various markets, such as with DIY users and industrial applications. Twist-knot brushes are produced in different configurations to work on a variety of surfaces for a vast number of uses. Their extremely high wear resistance and unique structure make the brush suitable for operating in irregular situations.

The need to have different types of knots, depending upon the end use of the brush, make the flexibility of the UNIMAC machines an important advantage for the brush maker.

  • KNOT-M, EASY START is a NEW simple machine that is easy to use. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for start-up production needs of twisted knot segment and/or frequent model changes. This machine is capable to run almost all sizes of twisted knot segment typically found in the market.
  • KNOT-A is a fully automatic machine. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for start-up production needs of twisted knot segment and/or frequent model changes. This machine is capable to run all sizes of twisted knot segment, typically found in the market.
  • KNOT-F is a fully automatic machine for the assembly of wide range of products (cups, flat, conical, shaft) twisted knot brushes. The consolidated experience on KNOT-A combined with the technology of the assembly station, create an efficient machine with limited operator supervision.
  • KNOT-EB is a fully automatic machine for the production of twisted knot end brushes. The consolidated experience on KNOT-A combined with the technology of the assembly station, create an efficient machine with limited operator supervision.

Crimped Wire Machine Family


Power brushes with crimped wire are prevalent in the market due to their wide-ranging uses. UNIMAC machines are designed to produce very high-quality segment brushes, through their ability to manage the filling phases of the wire and its density, the correct balance, and the specific brush tolerances.

UNIMAC machinery for crimped wire segment brushes can be automated to produce finish products such as wheel brushes, cup brushes, and end brushes. UNIMAC’s equipment incorporates quality control checks during the assembly process rejecting any second quality parts to ensure first quality brushes.

  • WAVE-M EASY START is a simple and easy to use machine. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for starting production of crimped wire sectors and for frequent model changes. This machine is compatible for all types of crimped wire sectors
  • WAVE-M AUTOFEED is a simple and easy to use machine. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for starting production of crimped wire sectors and for frequent model changes. This machine is compatible for all types of crimped wire sectors
  • WAVE-S is a semi-automatic machine for the production of haystack pre-formed sectors. This machine has the best balance between flexibility and productivity and is available in 3 versions for small, medium or large filling rate.
  • WAVE-A is a fully automatic machine for the production of crimped wire sector. Thanks to high automation, the operator needs only to load the components and unload the finished product. For large production batches, the machine can be customized with an auto unload system according to the customer’s needs.
  • WAVE-EB is a fully automatic machine for the production of crimped wire End Brushes. The standard machine consists of 4-stations that autonomously assemble the End Brush with automatic feeding of the components, up to the completion of the product with straight or inclined trim as desired.
  • WAVE-MS is an automatic machine for the production of MINI Sectors with crimped wire. Thanks to the high automation, the operator needs only to load the components. The machine automatically unloads the finished products. The work-cycle is fully automatic, making it ideal for large production runs.
  • WAVE-MSA is an automatic machine for the production of MINI sector brushes with crimped wire. Thanks to the high automation, the operator needs only to load the components. The machine automatically unloads the finished products. The work-cycle is fully automatic, making it ideal for large production runs. The machine can autonomously assemble single or multiple brush sectors (up to 4), with or without a pin.

Special Machines

  • The PTHD pressing and trimming machine is designed to work a wide range of crimped wire and twisted knot brushes.

Wire Handling Machines


In addition to its machines for manufacturing finished power brushes, Unimac supplies the following machinery for handling wire:

  • WIRE-HC is a wire cutting machine that cuts hanks of wire, fed from spools, into desired length bundles. The machine feeds multistrand wire spools or abrasive synthetic filaments on spools, feeding the wires/fibers to the desired length and then a heavy-duty cutting blade, cuts the bundle length.
  • WIRE-MW is an automatic wire crimping machine capable of processing all types of wire typically used by the power brush industry. The machine is very low maintenance and highly reliable.
  • WIRE-SB is designed to straighten, cut, and wrap bundles of wire.
