Ambiente/Christmasworld/Creativeworld 26/27 to 30 January 2024: Important Travel Information During the Rail Strike

Alternative Options for a Convenient Arrival

Due to the rail strike from 24 to 29 January 2024, there may be irregularities and partial cancellations on long-distance trains, regional trains and suburban trains in Germany. Please check whether your connection is running as planned before travelling. You can find the current status of the connections on the Deutsche Bahn website.

Thanks to the excellent infrastructure, there are numerous other travel options available to you in addition to the Deutsche Bahn services: you can reach Frankfurt with alternative rail providers (e.g. Vias, HLB, Flixtrain or long-distance buses) as well as with the help of flight connections (FRA) from all over the world. With its central location, Frankfurt is also easy to reach by car.

Once you arrive in Frankfurt, you can reach the fairgrounds in only a few minutes by underground, tram, car or shuttle bus. You can find all the latest information on our website under "arrival and stay".

Travelling to the exhibition center:

The S-Bahn lines S3, S4 and S5 will continue to run to the "Frankfurt Messe" S-Bahn station. However, due to the strike there may be delays and partial cancellations. Please note the emergency timetable of Deutsche Bahn, which you can find in their digital information systems (app / website). Furthermore, there are a number of other transportation options listed below.

From Frankfurt main train station

The "Festhalle / Messe" station is only a few minutes away from the main train station and is located directly at the "City Entrance". Ticket holders can also use the nearby "Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage" and "Congress Center" entrances. You can reach the station

  • with the underground line 4 (in the direction of Bockenheimer Warte),
  • with the tram lines 16 and 17
  • on foot in ten minutes: the spired top of the Messeturm tower makes it easy to find your way. A few steps away is the “City Entrance”.

From Frankfurt Airport

  • The Messe Frankfurt shuttle runs every 10-30 minutes from the bus station at Terminal 1 to the fairgrounds (Portalhaus). The journey takes approx. 15 minutes.
  • Take a taxi to the “City Entrance” (hall 1-6), “Portalhaus Entrance” or “Galleria Entrance” (both hall 8-12). Check our exhibition grounds to see which entrance is best suited for you.
  • All major car rental providers are at the airport: Car Rental Center (frankfurt- airport.com).

Arriving by car + parking

  • Follow the signs belonging to our integrated traffic management system – these will show you the shortest way to Messe Frankfurt.
  • You can park in the multi-level car park "Rebstock". Our shuttle service will bring you from there directly to the exhibition grounds.

We wish you a pleasant journey and look forward to seeing you in Frankfurt! Your Team from Consumer Goods Fairs
