Meet Ed Eknaian, Draper Knitting's New Production Manager
Draper Employee Spotlight

Ed went into the textiles business straight from high school, joining his grandfather at Clark-Cutler-McDermott Co., in Franklin, Mass. Ed was there for 26 years making his way from working production to production manager over the years. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt, so when their doors closed, Ed contacted Bill who he had met earlier.
This partnership is a natural fit. Ed brings knowledge, experience and leadership skills to Draper. He also brings great people skills from his management position in the past. He says he loves old mills with their unique atmosphere.
Ed's been here for about a month - he says that the best part of working here is the people. Because this is a smaller mill, he likes having the time to get to know the people, and really pay attention to the operations, production and quality. He's learning the "flow" of the process the fabric goes through the mill from the raw materials to finishing and shipping. He's also learning a new computer system, the various styles being made, the yarns and fibers, and the machinery.
Ed and his wife, Gina, have been married for 31 years and raised their two grown daughters in Franklin, MA. Ed loves fishing, and he and Gina love being on Cape Cod during the summer.
