The Enviro Smart Brush: The World is Ready for Sensible Paint Brushes
After many years of following the same design principles when it comes to manufacturing paintbrushes, it is time to incorporate new technology! Traditional paintbrush design requires a metal ferrule to be size matched to a plastic or wooden handle and here is where problems can be encountered. If the handles are made from wood, the proposition of matching the size to fit the ferrule is affected by humidity. Then there is the cost and time itself of nailing the ferrule onto the handle.The Enviro Smart Brush range from the Canadian company Kwick Clean & Green Ltd has been engineered to overcome these obstacles. Its design means that the handle can be injection moulded as one piece. The brush head is removable which has the following benefits:
- Pressing two buttons allows the bristle to be replaced in just 5 seconds
- Saving and reusing the handle reduces environmental impact by 50%
- Contractors will be able to still choose their favourite blend of bristle but now they will reduce enviro impact and save in cost with refills
Initially, Kwik Clean & Green will be releasing two excellent paint brushes to choose from with a view to expanding the line in the near future. In addition to the standard Enviro Smart Brush, decorators will be able to purchase the PROfessional Enviro Brush.
The PRO has a heavier soft touch rubber handle in a 2.75” size and the refill of pro bristle is removed quickly by just pressing the locking flap.The Smart is lighter in weight with a comfortable shape to hold. This choice is in the 2” size and has high quality bristle / filament blend. This is the newest cost saving design and the handle is also 100% recyclable. The bristle refill is held & released by simultaneously pressing 2 buttons.
In future Kwik Clean & Green will offer many choices of refills to match all present brushes. This technology is offered to all manufacturers who can be assured that all heads and handles will be manufactured to the same specifications, thus allowing all varieties of refills to fit all handles.
