On my visit to this German region recently, I visited Lötters Draht famous for quality wire for many industries including, of course, the brush industry and met up with Matthias Eisenhardt the Area Sales Manager.

We discussed the long tradition of Lötters that have been producing quality wires since 1912 in the same place, though naturally, the site has been enlarged and facilities improved in that time.  This 4th generation family-owned and managed company closely connected to Hemer 58675, specialises in the refinement of low-carbon, high-carbon and stainless steel wires with various surface coatings in a dimensional range from 0.18mm to 4.90mm. Their wire is available worldwide and Lötters are confident to offer the best service to their customer with direct personal contact.  They are present wherever wire is processed with short reaction times and fast delivery times, too.

Lötters Draht say they make an important contribution to a quality finished product.  They produce stitching wire, twist-in wire, wire for interdental brushes and wires for technical brushes.  The product properties are optimised for the respective area of application and give the brush the desired function, hold, shape and modern look. They offer a wide variety of standard dimensions, optionally with a bright, galvanised or polymer-coated surface.  Their wide range of colours allows design with creativity. The range includes LD Brush Staple Wire, LD Twist-in Brush Wire and now the new LD FLOSS wire, specifically for particular products and small volumes.

LD FLOSS Wire is the new product for interdental and mascara brushes, produced in the 0.18 – 0.28mm dimension range.  For this purpose, they use quality stainless steels in various qualities, all of which are stainless and have extraordinary mechanical properties. Their new pilot plant and machinery have enabled them to produce this type of wire as well as other custom wires used for specialist niche products.
