Present New Products and Talk about Them!
The convergence of creativity, innovation and design is a
sure sign that it is time again: the international Tendence consumer-goods fair
presents new products for the second half of the year. From 27 to 30 August,
the national and European retail trade will meet there to place their orders
for the busy Christmas period and discover the latest trends for the next
spring and summer season. “Tendence is the ideal order platform in the second
half of the year and gives buyers the opportunity to discover the latest trends
for their own businesses. Last year, 37 percent of the exhibitors presenting
their highlights here in Frankfurt came from 47 different countries, excluding
Germany. And this illustrates the relevance of the fair for the retail trade”,
says Philipp Ferger, Group Show Director Tendence.
The innovations to be shown to an international audience of
trade buyers for the first time at Tendence 2016 include:
The ‘Little Prince’ and ‘Little Princess’ piggybanks, which
are to be found on the exhibition stand of Casablanca Design (9.1, A83/A90/B90).
In light blue and pink with silver coronets, they happily swallow coins and
notes. Casablanca’s jewellery is also animal oriented: in white, pink or light
blue, ‘Blinky’ the hare poses wearing the orange and green necklace with
rhinestones – an eye catcher and not just for fans of this popular animal.
Designership (9.0, B70) links its QB product with a
historical quotation, ‘The die is cast’. And no matter how, a variety of
cavities provide room for candles of most shapes and sizes. The cubes come in
eye-catching oak or exclusive marble. Designership will also be showing the
‘Branch’ vase. Also inspired by the natural world, it combines classic
functionality with organic shapes.

Under the new ‘bedida’ trademark, Feelino (Hall 11.1, B10)
is set to show double-walled glasses made of borosilicate glass. A high-grade
coating protects the glass from scratches and gives it an elegant and light
appearance. The double-walled design produces not only the visual floating
effect but also offers practical advantages: ‘Cold! Warm! Hot!’ – the good
insulation holds the temperature of everything – from cocktails and red wine to
herbal tea – at the required temperature.
PAD (Hall 9.0, A20/A25), one of the established names in the
new Pure & Elegant section, presents new products from its recently
expanded outdoor range. The new ‘Cas’ carpet comes in the popular ikat ethnic
style and is made of a high-tech fibre that feels as soft and cuddly as cotton
but is as stable as plastic. This is the secret of the product. On warm summer
evenings, the big rug creates a cosmopolitan ambience on roof terraces and
balconies. In the autumn and winter, the robust material makes it the ideal
foot mat for the entrance area.

It is almost too attractive to hide in the cutlery draw.
Circus, the round, silver-polished bottle opener from Troika cuts a good figure
everywhere: on the desk, on the shelf, next to the coffee maker – and, of
course, in the hand when the lustrous stainless steel effortlessly does the
work it was designed for, opening bottles. Recently selected for the Red Dot
Award, Circus will soon be on show in Hall 11.1, D78.
These and numerous other new products can be seen at the
coming Tendence 2016 where retailers from the home and giving sectors have the
opportunity to discover a host of fresh ideas and tomorrow’s trends.
