Interbrush 2020 was supposed to be the fourth time in a row that the Marco Kracht Company was to be attending the exhibition as an exhibitor. But the story of the company in producing flagging knives is much longer. In fact, it started its activity just after the second world war under the name Morassi Alfeo, who began the production of the first flagging knives for the company Dal Maschio around 1970. In 1992 Mr. Morassi Alfeo retired and sold to Mr. Marco Kracht who had grown up spending many summers there taking an interest.

When Mr. Marco Kracht bought the company, its only product was the flagging knives, so he felt the need to diversify the production and set up to produce the needles for the corn broom sewing machines and the blades for the trimming heads of the trimming and flagging machines. The most recent products introduced in the production line of the company were the vices and the blades for cutting the metal pipes of broom handles.

With the introduction of PET filament, customers began to ask for a long-lasting flagging knife, so Mr. Marco Kracht, with the help of the company that is making the heat treatment of knives, developed a new process for having harder knives with the same flexibility of the softer ones. Since then, a couple of years ago, with the help of his steel supplier, he started to produce the knives with a different steel alloy that with the heat treatment process developed before could arrive to an hardness of 62-63 HRC Rockwell points; practically the same hardness of a drill for drilling steel, but with the same flexibility of all the knives produced before.

Until 2001 the main customers of the company were all the Italian producers of the machines: Dal Maschio, Borghi, Mass, Osmas 3 and Giori Bernardo confirming a strong reliable reputation.
