Sustainable Products from A to Zahn
Sustainability and active environmental protection as well as resource-saving production represent essential features of Zahn Pinsel's corporate policy.Zahn Pinsel is the first and only brush factory in the world to be certified according to EN ISO 14001:2004, EMAS and FSC® criteria and is a long-standing partner in the Bavarian Environmental Pact.
The sustainability of the components used is a key consideration when creating its products.
HandlesSince 2007, Zahn brush manufactory has been certified according to FSC® criteria and uses only wood from controlled and sustainable forestry.
Important for the wooden raw material is a good degree of dryness and an excellent surface finish.
FerrulesThe recyclability of all used tinplate ferrules is nearly at 100%.
The used inox or stainless steel is at 75 % up to 90 % made of recycled alloy metal and steel scrap.
Brush fibresFor brush fibres, Zahn Pinsel can offer various sustainable options. Some of the fibres are made of nearly 100 % recycled PET.
Also, fibres with a percentage of corn starch are used in its German production.
