Hall 30 - Stand G11 | Bologna, Italy | 22 to 24 May 2024

Due to Covid and other reasons, it is not since 2016 that the company Marco Kracht has showed its products and shared news with its customers. For this reason, it is now with great excitement that the company looks forward to attending World Brush Expo as exhibitor.

In an effort to assure its customers of the superior quality of its products, Marco Kracht has spent these past years in making important investments in the creation of its own laboratory for the testing of the mechanical properties of the finished products and the steel used in them in terms of hardness and metal structure.

Another important investment was in its own mould for producing the plastic spacers that hold the flagging knives and, in doing so, decided to recommence the production of the Dal Maschio spacer used on the machines used for flagging bundles of filaments.

A significant addition was also made to the line of the flagging knives. In fact, now double point flagging knives used on some Zahoransky, Boucherie and Woehler machines are kept in stock as products always available, whereas before they were special orders items.

You are invited to visit the Marco Kracht booth G11 in Hall 30 at World Brush Expo that will take place from 22 to 24 May 2024 in Bologna, Italy.

History and development

The company Marco Kracht started its activity in the 1950’s under the name of Morassi Alfeo in a town called Maniago that is located one hundred kilometers north from Venice and where, since the fourteen century, local blacksmiths were producing swords, blades and other weapons for the “Republic of Venice”.

Since the early 1970s, Morassi Alfeo started the production of flagging knives, supplying them mainly to the Italian companies producing machines for the broom production like Dal Maschio, Borghi, Osmas 3 and Mass.

Morassi Alfeo was a one-man company located inside a room of the Morassi family house, so the main and practically only product of the company was the flagging knife.

In 1992, Mr. Morassi Alfeo sold the company to Mr. Marco Kracht who changed the name, but the company remained in Maniago.

In 1993, a new and larger building was bought along with new machines, and the line of products was expanded to additionally include the production of blades for trimming heads and needles for sewing corn brooms.

Since the family of Mr. Marco Kracht is living in Sesto San Giovanni, a small town in the suburbs of Milan, in 2004 the company was moved into a larger building in this town and a new fully automatic machine line for the production of the flagging knives was purchased.
