College Star - Denman’s Big Blow Out Competition WINNER ANNOUNCED
Denman’s very first College Star Competition attracted over 500 entries from hairdressing and barbering students across the UK! The competition which launched in February asked students to enter their best blow-dry work – the online only competition asked for an image of the front, back and each side of just one brilliant blow-dry. The stakes were high with the prize of £1000 plus a £200 tool bundle for the college hairdressing department. Denman is delighted to announce that Yasmin Ainsley of East Durham College is our very first College Star and winner of Denman’s Big Blow Out Competition 2024.
Denman CEO Kevin McNamee said “We were completely blown away by the volume and quality of the entries. We were looking for one beautifully executed blow-dry and it was incredibly hard to choose. We are so inspired by these students; the future of hairdressing is in their hands and we feel confident that each of them will go on to achieve great things. Denman is also hugely grateful to the hardworking tutors who clearly encouraged and supported their students in entering. Our winner showed that little extra polish to take the prize!”Winner Yasmin Ainsley said “I’m so so happy. I was quite happy with the blow-dry so I am glad the judges liked it. I created this look during the college day and entered from my phone. Thank you, Denman!”
