FEIBP Virtual Congress 2020 Review - Andrew McIlroy New President European Brushware Federation
At the Annual General Assembly of the FEIBP, held on 15 October 2020, Peter Langenegger (Ebnat AG, Switzerland) stepped down as President, having served for three consecutive years.For the first time in FEIBP history, a representative of the suppliers section of the Federation was welcomed as new President for the next two years.
Andrew McIlroy is well-known and much respected for his commitment to the FEIBP and had already been an FEIBP Board member for many years, representing the suppliers to the brushware manufacturing industry. Andrew is the Sales & Marketing Director Hahl range of Perlon GmbH (Germany).The General Assembly is part of the annual FEIBP Congress, but the Congress had to be postponed due to COVID-19. As an alternative the GA was held online.
With a high attendance, the European brushware community was able to exchange views and opinions on the impact of COVID-19 on our businesses. Will the crisis lead to new chances for our European manufacturing and enhance our global competitiveness?
Associated topics such sustainability and quality issues were also discussed in interactive Working Group meeting on hygiene brushware, personal care, technical brushes and paintbrushes. We do hope to meet many colleagues from Central Europe and expand our membership in this region.
